John M. Gurgel has invested his professional life in helping people explore meaningful work and successful retirement through personal counseling, academic advising and professional coaching. His engaging style comes from his interest in people. His creative insights come from a thorough understanding of career and retirement resources and their application: publications, assessments and web resources. His master's degree incorporates three disciplines--counseling, teaching and administration--and his doctoral work is in cognitive psychology and administration. He has been professor, corporate trainer, writer, administrator and Senior Consultant for a web-based executive career services company. John has worked extensively for DBM's web-based programs and in the Career Center Environment with such companies as Gateway, Cisco, Applied Materials and G.E. Finance. He is certified as a Retirement Success facilitator and consultant, and is Project Lead for DBM's Retirement Success program as well as Lead Consultant for DBM's Person-to-Person (virtual) national consulting team.
