Many out of work more than 10 months, despite signs of recovery
The tight job market has affected all demographics but older workers have really felt the squeeze. Whether they are looking to gain employment, switch jobs, or come back from retirement, the job market has proven to be sparse. Statistics show that older workers are unemployed for an average of 44 weeks (more than 10 months), according to this AARP report.
