Help but not helpless

Allowing yourself to be helped without being helpless is an art and a great gift.
This from a client who spent 5+ months in search, active and interviewing along the way:
“One of the most gratifying lessons I learned was the tremendous willingness of people, many of whom I had not met prior to beginning my work search, to encourage, support, and assist me as I transitioned to a new position.”
This note of mine regarding client:
“Client continues to interview, and finish second or out of running for seeming insignificant reasons.”
Yet, he stayed engaged and positive!
It is interesting how many folks go out of the way to help others in transition.
Allowing yourself to be helped without being helpless is an art and a great gift.
